My name is Eva Barroso Riccardi and I am a third year communications student at Concordia. As a final video project, I have the opportunity to produce a concept that I am very enthusiastic about.
We are currently looking for members of the Religious Student's Association who would be willing to participate in this project. The filming would be taking place later this semester, in April. The interviews would be taking place in the communications video studio on Loyola campus and would last one hour per person at the very most. The project, which remains untitled for the moment would reunite Montreal women representing different cultures, ethnicities, sexuality and religion. Our interviewees would be answering questions such as: What is beauty? What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you? What is your proudest moment? Who is your support system? What is your biggest dream? What is your biggest regret? What is the greatest lesson you learned? How do you boost your self-esteem? What is your biggest fear? What’s on the top of your bucket list? What is the best advice you ever received? What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken? Would you take it again? What are you passionate about? I see this project as an alternative to a big sister. It would serve as a tool at younger girls and women who struggle with their own intersectionality and may or may not have someone to turn to for advice. We believe women should build each other up, not tear each other down and that through their own stories and life experiences our participants could offer a very strong and empowering message to viewers. The video would double as a promotional video for Concordia’s associations and celebrate the University’s diversity. My goal is to send a message of female solidarity to future and current Concordia students and give this school’s associations visibility by making this video go viral! If you or a member of your association would do us the honor of participating, you can reach me by e-mail at [email protected] Sincerely, Eva Barroso Riccardi Comments are closed.
